The government repeated its offer for PTI talks after a heated Senate debate. A PTI-backed senator criticized the government for blocking access to Imran Khan. She said an unannounced ban on jail meetings violated basic rights. Her remarks triggered a sharp response from the treasury. Yet the government still urged PTI to return to dialogue. The ruling party insisted that negotiation was the only way forward.
Rana Sanaullah said the opposition always rejected talks. He argued that every dispute could be solved through open discussion. However, he claimed PTI leaders kept choosing confrontation. He also hinted that PTI wanted talks with authorities who were not willing. His comments pushed the debate toward deeper political mistrust.

PTI Senator Mashal Yousafzai accused the government of misleading the public about Imran Khan’s jail conditions. She demanded a committee visit Adiala jail with local and foreign media. She said Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were denied family meetings. She also rejected claims that PTI sold election tickets. Her speech intensified pressure on the government.
Another flashpoint came when Senator Asad Qasim raised concerns about FBR messages revealing bank data. He said the texts violated privacy laws and constitutional rights. The government admitted sending the messages but defended the step. Ministers claimed the alerts targeted people with mismatched tax records. The Senate later referred the issue to a committee for review.

The Senate also passed the National Agri-trade and Food Safety Authority Bill to regulate food safety nationwide. Lawmakers agreed to send the FBR privacy issue to the finance committee. The government again stressed its willingness for PTI talks to ease political tension. Yet doubts remained over whether PTI would accept the offer or continue its resistance.
