Trump Wins FIFA Peace Prize

Published on: December 6, 2025 7:26 AM

Trump Wins FIFA Peace Prize

Donald Trump received the FIFA Peace Prize during the World Cup draw in Washington. He said he did not attend the event to win anything. However, FIFA still honored him for promoting dialogue in global conflicts. Media cameras focused on him as he stood at the center of the ceremony. The moment quickly turned the draw into a major political spotlight.

FIFA created the award last month to recognize extraordinary actions for peace. A tribute video praised Trump for helping end the Gaza war and working on the Ukraine conflict. Infantino presented a large gold-globe trophy and a medal to Trump. He said Trump promoted unity during a tense global period. The award raised strong reactions among viewers.

The event felt more dramatic than past draws. Trump dominated attention while leaders from Canada and Mexico stood nearby. Andrea Bocelli opened the night with “Nessun Dorma,” which Trump often uses at rallies. Infantino called the upcoming World Cup unique and spectacular. The ceremony matched his dramatic tone.

Trump used the stage to praise his work in office. He said America was weak before he took charge. He claimed the United States is now “the hottest country anywhere in the world.” The award came during a week of political tension. His administration had just frozen immigration applications from 19 countries after a deadly shooting.

Trump said he did not care about awards and only wanted to save lives. He claimed he had settled eight wars in ten months. He insisted his goal was to protect millions of people. The FIFA Peace Prize added new debate around his presidency. The discussion will likely continue as the next World Cup approaches and keeps the FIFA Peace Prize in the news.
