In August, the two countries agreed to promote collaboration in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital finance, reflecting a shared interest in emerging economic sectors. Earlier, in July, they reaffirmed a pact to increase bilateral trade to $100 million during a session of their intergovernmental commission. These initiatives underscore a mutual commitment to expanding economic and technological cooperation.

Both Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), a 10-nation Eurasian political and security alliance that includes China, Russia, India, and Iran.
