According to security officials, the attack unfolded at around 8:40pm when the woman detonated explosives near the entrance of the compound, targeting the paramilitary force’s main installation in the area.
Authorities stated that the banned Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) later released a photograph of the bomber and identified her as Zinat Rafiq. The rare use of a female attacker has raised concerns among security agencies, as such incidents are uncommon in the region and signal a shift in militant tactics. The FC personnel immediately responded to the attack, engaging militants who attempted to breach the headquarters.

Officials confirmed that three militants were killed as soon as they tried to enter the FC fort, preventing them from advancing deeper into the facility. They added that additional attackers did manage to enter the compound, prompting a search and clearance operation that continued for several hours. Security forces later announced that the compound had been fully secured.
However, local residents shared a different account, saying intermittent gunfire continued well into Monday evening, indicating that pockets of resistance may have remained. The prolonged firing created panic among nearby communities as they remained confined to their homes throughout the night.
