
Pakistan and Turkey are preparing for high-level talks to enhance cooperation in energy, petroleum, and mining sectors. The visit by Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar aims to boost bilateral collaboration.
Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik met Turkish Ambassador Irfan Neziroglu to finalise arrangements for the delegation’s arrival. Key officials, including Secretary Petroleum Momin Agha and OGDCL Managing Director Ahmed Hayat Lak, attended the meeting.

Minister Malik highlighted Pakistan’s eagerness to host the Turkish delegation, emphasizing that the visit would accelerate joint engagement in oil, gas, and mineral development, strengthening economic and strategic ties.
The discussion also reviewed ongoing projects, including Turkish Petroleum’s participation in Pakistan’s offshore and onshore exploration. This move was described as a significant step forward in deepening energy-sector cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Neziroglu shared that a prominent Turkish mineral-sector company would join the delegation, signaling increasing Turkish interest in Pakistan’s mining potential and opportunities for joint ventures with local state-owned companies.
Both sides agreed to ensure a successful visit, aiming to translate diplomatic goodwill into concrete outcomes. Pakistan and Turkey remain committed to expanding collaboration across energy, petroleum, and mineral industries for mutual benefit.
