
President Asif Ali Zardari stressed the need for informed leadership, national unity, and integrated policies to address Pakistan’s security challenges. He delivered these remarks during his address to participants of the 27th National Security Workshop at the National Defence University in Islamabad.
He highlighted that Pakistan must adopt a coherent approach to deal with evolving threats. He also emphasised that strong coordination among state institutions is essential. His comments came as security dynamics continue to shift in the region.

The workshop gathered parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, and experts from academia and civil society. It focused on helping participants understand how different elements of national power shape the country’s overall security. It also aimed to strengthen awareness of the Comprehensive National Security framework.
President Zardari congratulated the participants on completing the program. He appreciated their commitment to improving national security thinking. He noted that such initiatives help build informed and responsible leadership.
