On the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari, the Provincial Information Secretary Tahir Raza Hamdani visited the Lahore Press Club. On this occasion, Director General Public Relations Punjab, Fareed Ahmad, was also accompanying him. Upon arrival at the club, Acting President Afzal Talib, General Secretary Zahid Abid, and Finance Secretary Salik Nawaz welcomed the distinguished guests.
Acting President Afzal Talib thanked Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Information Minister Uzma Bukhari, whose personal interest has resolved all issues of the Press Club and the Journalists’ Colony, and work on the welfare projects for the journalist community is progressing rapidly.
Provincial Information Secretary Tahir Raza Hamdani presented a cheque of the Lahore Press Club’s grant to Acting President Afzal Talib and said that, on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the issues of Journalist Colony Phase One are being resolved on a priority basis. The collection of development charges for Journalist Colony Phase Two is being initiated, while work on the lists for journalists’ health cards is also underway. On this occasion, the President of the Punjab Assembly Press Gallery Committee, Khawaja Naseer, was also present.
