DUBAI — The fourth season of the DP World ILT20, the Gulf region’s premier T20 cricket league, is set to kick off with a spectacular opening ceremony on December 2 at the Dubai International Stadium. World-renowned singer Ali Zafar will headline the festivities, coinciding with the UAE National Day celebrations.

The six-team, 34-match league will begin at 6pm local time with a glittering ceremony, followed by the opening match at 6:45pm. Defending champions Dubai Capitals will take on the Desert Vipers in a thrilling rematch of last season’s final, which ended with the Capitals winning in the last over in front of a packed 25,000-strong crowd.
DP World ILT20 CEO David White said, “We are delighted to announce a glittering opening ceremony to mark the start of Season 4. Fans around the world will be entertained by Ali Zafar’s performance and the riveting cricket action that follows between Dubai Capitals and Desert Vipers.”

Ali Zafar expressed his excitement for the event, stating, “It is a massive honour for me to perform on the UAE National Day and be part of the festivities in this incredible country. I look forward to singing my fans’ favourite songs and introducing tracks from my upcoming album Roshni.”
The opening ceremony will also feature a colourful fireworks display inspired by the UAE National Day theme, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. With the league running for a month, fans can expect a mix of high-octane cricket, live entertainment, and engaging festivities throughout the season.
