According to police, four men riding motorcycles intercepted the rickshaw and opened fire on Ghouspur Road near Abdul Hakeem Bijarani village, within the jurisdiction of Jamal police station near Tangwani town. Both children succumbed to their injuries on the spot. Their bodies were later shifted to the Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities before being handed over to their family.

The victims were the son and nephew of Bakhshapur SHO Sikandar Panhwar, who has previously received threats and faced attacks at his residence due to his ongoing actions against criminal elements. SHO Panhwar has served at multiple police stations and has been actively involved in operations targeting local criminals, making him a known figure in law enforcement.
