When asked how a marriage with a non-Muslim woman would be possible, Mufti Qavi referenced Bollywood personality Rakhi Sawant, who earlier claimed to have embraced Islam and adopted the name Fatima. He added that he would first convert Aishwarya Rai to Islam and rename her Ayesha Rai.
This is not the first time Mufti Qavi has made headlines for controversial statements. In the past, he publicly offered marriage to Rakhi Sawant, who responded by saying, “tolerating Mufti Qavi is not easy and he is very different.” His statements continue to draw criticism, memes, and debates across social media platforms.
Mufti Qavi’s remarks come at a time when Bollywood celebrity news and personal lives are closely followed in Pakistan and India, often generating intense online discourse. Observers say his statements highlight the growing trend of public figures making provocative claims that attract widespread attention, regardless of their plausibility.
