
Control rooms have been established in Islamabad and Lahore to ensure smooth and secure voting in the ongoing by-elections for six National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly constituencies across the country today, enabling swift handling of any polling-related issues.
The central control room at the Election Commission headquarters in Islamabad operates under the supervision of Additional Director General Haroon Shinwari, working to monitor the entire election process and maintain efficient coordination with local authorities.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Election Commission spokesperson confirmed that polling continues under tight security, with police deployed at all stations to provide a peaceful environment and prevent any disruption or misconduct.
Moreover, election staff have been instructed to give priority voting to senior citizens, pregnant women, transgender persons, and people with disabilities, ensuring an inclusive and accessible process for every eligible voter throughout the day.

However, voters are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones inside polling stations to protect the secrecy of votes, and citizens are urged not to photograph ballot papers or reveal any personal voting information.
