Pakistan and Slovenia signed a memorandum of understanding to expand bilateral political and economic cooperation. The agreement was finalized during the EU Indo-Pacific Forum in Brussels. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Slovenia’s Tanja Fajon led the discussions.
The MOU establishes a mechanism for Bilateral Political Consultations between the two countries. Dar invited Fajon to Islamabad for the first round of consultations under this framework. Both leaders emphasized deepening ties in regional and global matters.

They also discussed enhanced business collaboration, with Dar encouraging Slovenia’s participation in the Pak-EU Business Forum in April 2026. The meeting focused on trade, investment, and opportunities for mutual growth.
Dar and Fajon agreed to maintain regular communication through both bilateral and multilateral channels. They stressed cooperation in areas of shared interest, including political, economic, and regional security matters.
