
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul in Brussels on Thursday. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the positive trend in Pakistan-Germany relations. They highlighted the importance of continuing collaboration across multiple sectors to strengthen ties.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation in defense, political, economic, trade, investment, and education areas. Both leaders agreed to expand collaboration and build stronger institutional links. They also shared perspectives on regional and global issues affecting both nations.

Ishaq Dar praised Germany’s support of €114 million for Pakistan, which focuses on environment, energy transition, sustainable economic growth, vocational training, and social protection. He emphasized that the assistance reflects Germany’s commitment to Pakistan’s development and stability.
The two ministers also explored future opportunities to enhance bilateral trade and investment. They agreed to encourage private sector engagement and joint initiatives in key sectors, including renewable energy and education. This approach aims to benefit both economies and promote long-term partnerships.

Finally, Ishaq Dar invited German leadership to visit Pakistan to further strengthen relations. He said stronger ties would foster mutual trust, economic cooperation, and joint development projects between the two countries.
