Pakistan’s security forces killed 23 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists in two intelligence-based operations in Kurram District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said both groups were reportedly operating under Indian patronage. These operations are part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam.”
The first operation targeted a group of Khawarij militants in Kurram, neutralizing 12 during heavy exchange of fire. A second operation, based on fresh intelligence, eliminated 11 more terrorists from a nearby group. Both groups were involved in terrorist activities and cross-border sponsorship.

ISPR said sanitization operations are ongoing to remove any remaining militants in the area. Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism supported from abroad. The operations are conducted under the Federal Apex Committee-approved National Action Plan.
The campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam” aims to maintain national security and regional stability through intelligence-led counter-terrorism measures. The ISPR emphasized that operations will continue at full pace to eradicate the menace of foreign-backed terrorism.

The military highlighted its determination to protect civilians and strengthen law enforcement in Kurram and across Pakistan. Intelligence, coordination, and continuous vigilance are central to sustaining these anti-terror efforts.
