The nationwide Rubella and Measles vaccination campaign will begin from Monday, November 17, and Shaheed Benazirabad Division will participate alongside the rest of the country.
Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Shahmeer Khan Bhutto on Sunday has issued a special message for parents regarding the campaign.
He said that Health Department has formed fixed, outreach, and mobile teams to vaccinate children across the division. The Commissioner urged parents to cooperate with the teams and ensure that their children aged six months to five years receive the Rubella and Measles vaccine. Commissioner said that vaccination is the only reliable way to protect the nation’s future generations from dangerous diseases. He emphasized that collective efforts of the community and cooperation of parents are essential for safeguarding children’s health.
He appealed to the public to actively participate in the national campaign and protect their children by getting them vaccinated. The 12-day national vaccination drive against Measles and Rubella will continue until November 29. During the campaign, 873,000 children across the division will be vaccinated, with 743 teams deployed to achieve this target.
