Pakistan’s snooker players Asjad Iqbal and Muhammad Hasnain got their IBSF Snooker World Cup 2025 campaign off to a winning start, securing victories in their opening group matches at Muscat, Oman on Saturday.
According to details, Iqbal defeated Mohamed El-Hamy of Egypt 3-1 (89(76)-17, 42-57, 62-48, 69(55)-48), showcasing his skill and experience in the game. Iqbal dominated the match, winning the first, third, and fourth frames with breaks of 89 and 76, and 55, respectively. In the other match, Hasnain emerged victorious against Enes Bakirci of Turkey, winning 3-1 (43-72, 85-33, 76-42, 61-52). He showed steady performance throughout the match, clinching the second, third, and fourth frames to secure the win.
The IBSF Snooker World Cup 2025 features 68 players divided into 17 groups, with the top two players from each group advancing to the knockout round.
