The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not offered a new PSL contract to Multan Sultans, sources revealed. PCB awarded contracts to the remaining five franchises, including Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Lahore Qalandars. Multan Sultans reportedly failed to meet the PCB’s compliance requirements.
All other franchises received contract offers with a 25% increase in value and were given 10 days to sign. However, Multan Sultans were not sent a PSL valuation report, adding to the uncertainty. The move follows previous disputes between PCB and the team’s owner, Ali Tareen.

Ali Tareen had previously criticized the PCB management publicly and even tore up a legal notice from the board. Earlier, the franchise had sent a letter to the PCB chairman proposing various suggestions to resolve issues.
Meanwhile, PCB has announced a tender for the sale of PSL’s seventh and eighth teams. Interested buyers can submit proposals by December 15, after which the two new teams will be auctioned.
