Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari reaffirmed that Pakistan would never compromise on its national security or the safety of its citizens. In a statement issued on Wednesday, she said that terrorists and their facilitators would be brought to justice under all circumstances, adding that India and the Afghan regime were supporting terrorist elements. Condemning the recent terrorist attacks on the Islamabad courthouse and the Cadet College in Wana, Azma Bokhari extended the Punjab government’s condolences to the families of civilians martyred in these assaults. She lauded the Pakistan Army’s swift and successful rescue operation at Wana Cadet College, which saved the lives of hundreds of students and teachers. “The entire nation salutes the Pakistan Armed Forces for their bravery and sacrifices,” she said. The minister emphasized, “Pakistan is a responsible and sovereign state that respects the sovereignty of other nations.” She added that in May, the Pakistan Army defeated an enemy five times its size within a few hours – a testament to its strength and professionalism. Azma Bokhari reiterated that the Pakistan Army remained ever ready to defend the motherland against any threat.
