The first formal meeting of the provincial cabinet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, has been convened for November 14.

This will be the first official cabinet meeting since the CM Afridi assumed office, and its agenda has also been released.

According to official sources, invitations have been extended to 10 ministers, one special assistant, and two advisors to attend the meeting.

The cabinet is expected to formally approve the declaration of the Peace Jirga, a major initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability across the province.

The 53-point agenda for the meeting includes several key matters, including approval for the replacement of 25 official vehicles for District and Sessions Judges, recommendation for a 20 percent increase in toll tax on Swat Expressway, and the implementation of various resolutions passed by the KP Assembly.

The agenda also covers the lifting of the ban on procurement of VIP vehicles for the Governor, formal approval of the “One Farmer, One Cow” project to boost agriculture and the rural economy, and the release of special funds for the rehabilitation of affected areas in Tirah and North Waziristan.

Additionally, provision of a bulletproof vehicle for a bench of the Peshawar High Court has also been proposed.

Performance reports from various departments will be presented during the meeting, while CM Sohail Afridi is expected to issue new directives to improve governance, accelerate development projects, and enhance administrative efficiency across the province.
