The Sindh government has provided 5 new buses for the convenience of thousands of students of five colleges, including three girls’ and two boys’ colleges, in Larkana district on Tuesday.
In this regard, a ceremony for handing over the new buses to the concerned principals was held at the Government Girls Degree College Larkana, organized by the Directorate of Regional Colleges of the district.
The ceremony was attended by Special Guest Chairman District Council Larkana Ijaz Ahmed Leghari, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khair Mohammad Sheikh, Director Regional Colleges Larkana Professor Altaf Hussain Abro, Additional Director Professor Mobeen Ahmed Langah, Deputy Director Aqeel Ahmed Lakheer, Inam Ali Supra, Vice Chairman District Council Asadullah Bhutto, along with principals of various colleges and a large number of female students.
On this occasion, Chairman District Council Larkana Ijaz Ahmed Leghari, Director Regional Colleges Larkana Professor Altaf Hussain Abro, and others jointly handed over the new buses to Principal of Government Arts and Commerce College Larkana Professor Rizwan Gul, Principal of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto College of Education Larkana Fatima Jamali, Principal of Government Girls Degree College Ratodero Professor Razia Soomro, Principal of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Girls Degree College Naundero Saduran Solangi, and Principal of Government Girls Degree College Badah Shakeelan Solangi.
Addressing the ceremony, Chairman District Council Larkana and others said that through the efforts of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, MPA Faryal Talpur, and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, 5 buses worth 10 crore rupees have been provided for 5 colleges in Larkana district so that students from far-flung areas can get an education in nearby colleges. They said that providing new buses to all 5 colleges in Larkana district will increase the enrollment of students, and now students will not have to pay high fares and rents. These buses will pick up students from their doorsteps and bring them to educational institutions so that students can pursue their education without any hassle.
