
Six people were killed in two separate firing incidents in the Balochistan cities of Kalat and Panjgur on Saturday, authorities reported.
The first incident occurred in the Mangocher area near Kalat, where unidentified assailants opened fire on a group of tribal leaders. Four individuals were killed, including Saadullah Langu and his brother Khair Ullah, along with Mohammad Karim and Mohammad Tahir. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the attack.

The second incident took place in Panjgur, resulting in the deaths of two people identified as Mohammad Zafar and Naeem. Local officials said efforts are ongoing to uncover the cause of this attack.
In response to the violence, Quetta Commissioner Shahzaib Kakar presided over a special meeting of the Divisional Monitoring Committee (DMC). The meeting focused on updating the Fourth Schedule list, completing profiling of terrorists, and assigning security tasks to strengthen the province’s security database.

The Commissioner also directed a crackdown on illegal weapons possession and emphasized ensuring all schools are functional, including taking disciplinary action against teachers absent for long periods.
