London: Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Saturday reassured that the government has no intention of abrogating provincial autonomy while speaking to media at the Pakistan High Commission in London.
He emphasized that the 27th Constitutional Amendment, recently approved by the federal cabinet, is aimed at resolving existing governance issues and “brings no benefit to the PML-N but is beneficial to the country and the nation.”

Iqbal expressed optimism about reaching a national consensus soon, stating, “I believe we will succeed to create a consensus soon.”
Praising the armed forces, he said, “Field Marshal Asim Munir has demonstrated valiant leadership and earned worldwide recognition for his capabilities. The world is now seeing Pakistan in a new light.” He also lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for extending political support to the armed forces.

The 27th Amendment includes key measures such as the establishment of a Constitutional Court to handle constitutional matters exclusively and the creation of a new defence post, reflecting the government’s focus on strengthening governance and national security.
