Iran’s parliamentary delegation gets warm welcome in Karachi

Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Awais Qadir Shah, warmly received the Honorable Speaker of the Islamic Parliament of Iran, Dr Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, upon his arrival at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.

Speaker Shah welcomed Dr Ghalibaf with a bouquet of flowers and expressed his delight at hosting the distinguished guest.

During the visit in Karachi, the Iranian parliamentary delegation will visit the mausoleum of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah will host a dinner in honor of Dr Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and his delegation, which will be attended by members of the Sindh Assembly and prominent figures from the business community.

Dr Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah for the warm welcome, kindness, and hospitality extended to him and his delegation.

Speaker Shah was accompanied by Members of the Provincial Assembly Mir Tariq Talpur, Minister for Social Welfare Department Sindh, MPQ Qasim Soomro, and MPA Muhammad Asif Musa, who joined in warmly welcoming the honorable guests.

The Iranian Speaker arrived in Karachi following his official engagements in Islamabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah said it was an honor for him to welcome the esteemed Speaker of the Islamic Parliament of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and other members of the Iranian Parliament to Karachi. He stated that the people of Sindh and Iran share centuries-old religious and cultural ties.

Also present on the occasion were Secretary Provincial Assembly GM Umar Farooq and Director General Irfan Ahmed Memon.

His Excellency Dr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was accompanied by a high-level parliamentary delegation comprising Mr. Fida Hossein Maleki, Chairman Iran-Pakistan PFG / Member of the Islamic Parliament of Iran; Consul General in Karachi Akbar Eisa Zadeh, Mr. Mohammad Nour Dehani, Vice Chairman Iran-Pakistan PFG / Member of the Islamic Parliament of Iran; Mr. Rahmdel Bamiri, Member Iran-Pakistan PFG / Member of the Islamic Parliament of Iran; Mr. Mehrdad Goodarzvand Chegini, Mr. Fazlollah Ranjbar, Mr. Abolfazl Amouei, Mr. Vahid Jalalzadeh, Mr. Mohammad Saeed Ahadian, Mr. Mehdi Mohammadi, and Mr. Mehdi Meskini, all Members and Officials of the Islamic Parliament of Iran.
