Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), district police, and civilian intelligence agencies conducted a joint operation on Thursday in the Ambiri Kalla in the southern district of Karak, killing a most-wanted terrorist commander, Nisar Hakeem. According to officials, the terrorist commander was involved in multiple acts of terrorism and has long been on the list of security forces’ most-wanted list. During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the security forces and the terrorists. Several police personnel sustained minor injuries during the exchange of fire. K-P Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed praised the efforts of the security personnel on a successful operation. The IGP reaffirmed the police’s resolve to eradicate terrorism.
