RIYADH: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced special services for Overseas Pakistanis residing in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The NADRA Mobile Registration Team, in collaboration with the Pakistani Embassy, will visit Tamimi New Camp on November 7 and 8 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM local time. Pakistanis in Dhahran and surrounding areas can access services including new CNIC issuance, renewals, and updates.
In a separate initiative, NADRA has identified over 250,000 fake Pakistani CNICs, most reportedly held by Afghan nationals. The fraudulent IDs were allegedly obtained through agents who added individuals to the family trees of Pakistani citizens. Authorities have begun blocking these CNICs, requiring affected individuals to visit NADRA offices for verification before legitimate cards are reactivated.

To make CNIC acquisition more convenient, NADRA now allows citizens to apply online via the Pak ID website or mobile application, with cards delivered directly to their homes. This new service aims to save time and reduce the need for in-person visits.
Additionally, the Government of Pakistan has announced that citizens aged 18 and above can obtain their first CNIC free of charge within 15 days. CNIC renewal fees have also been updated: Rs 400 for normal, Rs 1,150 for urgent, and Rs 2,150 for executive processing.
