ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday directed jail authorities to arrange a meeting between PTI founder Imran Khan and senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja later today. The order came during a hearing on a petition seeking to block Imran Khan’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the directive after Raja informed the court that he had been unable to meet his client despite earlier verbal orders by the IHC’s full bench. “I can only respond after discussing the matter with him,” Raja told the court.

During the proceedings, jail authorities submitted a report, copies of which were ordered to be provided to all concerned parties. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency also sought more time to file its response. Justice Arbab instructed the Deputy Attorney General and state counsel to immediately notify jail officials by phone to ensure the meeting takes place today.
Raja lamented that for the past several months, court orders for meetings had not been implemented, saying, “We will keep trying—one day this door will open.” After approving the meeting request, the court adjourned proceedings, allowing Raja time to consult with Imran Khan before the next hearing.
