Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi administered the oath to a 13-member provincial cabinet during a ceremony at the Governor House.
Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, lawmakers from both the national and provincial assemblies, party leaders, and senior officials attended the event. At a ceremony held at the Governor House in Peshawar, ten members of the provincial cabinet took oath as ministers.
Those sworn in included Mina Khan Afridi, Arshad Ayub Khan, Amjad Ali, Aftab Alam Afridi, Fazal Shakoor Khan, Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Riaz Khan, Syed Fakhr Jahan, Aqibullah Khan and Faisal Khan. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor congratulated the new ministers and extended his best wishes to them. Separately, Kundi and Chief Minister Sohail Afridi held a meeting at the Governor’s House on Friday.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed the overall law and order situation in the province, public welfare initiatives, and various development projects aimed at promoting prosperity and progress in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They also held consultations regarding the province’s rights in the upcoming National Finance Commission (NFC) Award and agreed to present a united front in securing the province’s due share and rights from the federal government. Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized the importance of collective efforts for the rights and development of the province, saying, “There is a need to raise a joint voice at every forum for the rights of our province and people. Together, we will make Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a peaceful and developed province.”
