Sania Mirza pens heartfelt message for son on his 7th birthday

HYDERABAD – Former tennis star Sania Mirza shared a touching and emotional note on Thursday to mark her son Izhaan Mirza Malik’s seventh birthday, expressing the unconditional love and joy motherhood has brought her.

The sports icon, known for her strength both on and off the court, took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message alongside a series of adorable pictures of Izhaan from over the years. “How did you go from this to 7 in a blink of an eye? Happy birthday my brightest and kindest baby boy… you taught me the meaning of the most selfless kind of love I never knew existed,” she wrote.

Sania married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik in April 2010 in a high-profile cross-border wedding that drew attention in both India and Pakistan. The couple welcomed their son on October 30, 2018, in Hyderabad. Despite confirming their separation in 2024, the two have continued to co-parent Izhaan with mutual respect and affection.
