
Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced that first-time e-ticket fines will be forgiven. However, repeat violators must pay full fines. He urged citizens to follow traffic rules to protect themselves and others.
The announcement followed a meeting with Sindh IG Ghulam Nabi Memon. The IG presented a report on 35 government vehicles fined under the new e-ticketing system. Violations included seatbelt neglect, jumping red lights, using mobile phones, and tinted glass.

CM Shah said first-time fines will be waived, but anyone repeating violations will face the full e-ticket penalty. He emphasized that law enforcement is for everyone, including police. The IG added that violators can contact authorities within ten days for first-time fine forgiveness.
A recent case highlighted the system’s enforcement. On October 28, police vehicle SPE-950 on Lyari Expressway received an e-ticket for seatbelt violation. CM Shah said the system is working effectively to ensure accountability and road safety.

He concluded by stressing equal rights for all citizens under the law. CM Shah encouraged public cooperation and assured that traffic enforcement will continue transparently. The e-ticketing system aims to reduce accidents and improve overall safety in Sindh.
