LONDON – Prince Harry has cautioned parents about the risks of sharing their children’s photos online, citing the dangers posed by artificial intelligence and cybercrime.
In a recent interview with comedian Hasan Minhaj, the Duke of Sussex discussed the growing threat of online exploitation and the misuse of personal data through social media.
“Parents can do whatever they want,” Harry said, “but from what I’ve seen, what I’ve heard, what I’ve experienced, you should be really, really worried, concerned, and cautious about putting photographs of your kids online.”

He warned that the “surge of unregulated AI” makes the internet more unpredictable than ever, with personal images potentially being misused in ways that parents can’t control.
While expressing concern, Harry also acknowledged the dilemma many parents face. “That’s also really sad,” he said. “There are parents watching this asking, ‘Well, how am I supposed to share photos with people across the world?’”
The Duke’s remarks come amid increasing global discussions around digital privacy, AI regulation, and the safety of minors online.
