“It was such a difficult start in this final for me,” Sinner admitted. “He was serving very well, but I just tried to stay mentally strong and play my best tennis when it mattered.” The world number four responded strongly, racing to a 3-0 lead in the second set to force a decider.
Despite struggling with a minor thigh issue, Sinner maintained his composure in the final set. He broke Zverev at 5-all with a stunning backhand winner and sealed the victory with a confident service game, delighting the Vienna crowd.
This victory adds to Sinner’s impressive 2025 season, with earlier titles at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and Beijing. The 24-year-old will head to the Paris Masters brimming with confidence, aiming to continue his exceptional form on indoor surfaces.
