KARACHI – Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf visited forward posts in the Creeks Area on Saturday to inspect the operational preparedness and combat readiness of Pakistan Navy units stationed along the coastal belt.
During the visit, three state-of-the-art 2400 TD Hovercraft were formally inducted into the Pakistan Marines, marking a significant step in the Navy’s modernisation efforts.

According to naval officials, the newly inducted hovercraft possess the rare capability to operate seamlessly across shallow waters, sand dunes, marshes, and boggy littorals, providing enhanced mobility in areas inaccessible to traditional vessels. This advanced fleet will strengthen the Navy’s capacity to conduct multi-terrain operations, allowing for rapid response to evolving maritime challenges.

Highlighting Pakistan Navy’s mission and preparedness, Admiral Ashraf reaffirmed the force’s unwavering commitment to protecting the nation’s maritime borders. “We know how to defend our sovereignty and every inch of our maritime frontiers from Sir Creek to Jiwani,” he said.
