Field Marshal Asim Munir warned India that in a nuclear environment, there is “no room for war” between the two countries, reaffirming that Pakistan’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to defend every inch of the motherland.
Speaking at the passing-out parade of cadets from the 152nd Pakistan Military Academy Long Course, 37th Technical Graduate Course, 71st Integrated Course, and 26th Lady Cadet Course at the PMA Kakul on Saturday, the COAS Munir said, the military, with the nation’s full support, “has left no stone unturned in the external and internal defence of the motherland”.
The field marshal bestowed distinguished cadets with awards during the parade. The coveted Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Ahmed Mujtaba Arif Raja of 152nd PMA Long Course.
The President’s Gold Medal to Battalion Senior Under Officer Zohair Hussain of 152nd PMA Long Course. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal to Friendly Country Company Junior Under Officer Tekraj of 152nd PMA Long Course.
Chief of Army Staff Marksman Medal was awarded to Gentleman Cadet Syed Hashir Hassan of 152nd PMA Long Course. Chief of Army Staff Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Shaheer Ali of the 37th Technical Graduate Course.
Commandant’s Overseas Medal to Course Sports Sergeant Most Jannatul Mawa of 26th Lady Cadet Course. Commandant’s Canes were awarded to Course Under Officer Sayed Abdul Hadi of the 71st Integrated Course & Course Under Officer Hadia Fayyaz of the 26th Lady Cadet Course.
He stated, “I assure the nation that, God willing, we will not allow an inch of this sacred land to be surrendered to the enemy”.
Referring to recent regional tensions, Field Marshal Munir said that “in a nuclear environment, there is no room for war” and warned India that its pursuit of aggression risks destabilising the region. He added that the enemy’s use of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij as “hired guns” exposes its “cowardly, hypocritical, and heinous face” to the world.
“Fitna al-Khawarij” is the term used for terrorists affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), while “Fitna al-Hindustan” refers to Indian-backed extremist proxies. The COAS Munir said both represent threats to peace and are being confronted decisively.
He noted that Pakistan’s recent military operations, Marka-e-Haq and Bunyanum Marsoos, had strengthened national confidence by defeating the enemy through professional skill and resolve. The Armed Forces, he said, destroyed numerous enemy bases, including S-400 systems, demonstrating Pakistan’s multi-domain warfare capabilities.
Field Marshal Munir referred to Pakistan’s victory in the May 2025 conflict with India as a “decisive” moment that earned the respect of the international community. He accused India of presenting “fabricated evidence” and politicising terrorism for domestic political objectives.
Condemning Indian state-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to providing political, diplomatic, and moral support to the Kashmiri people until the dispute is resolved in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and their aspirations.
He condemned Israeli aggression in Gaza, which he said had killed thousands of civilians, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem as the capital of an independent Palestine..
Concluding his address, Field Marshal Munir paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan’s soldiers, citizens, and professionals from all walks of life, acknowledging their contributions to the nation’s strength and resilience.
Field Marshal condemned Indian-state sponsored terrorism in Kashmir. He stated, “Pakistan will continue to provide political, diplomatic, and moral support to the legitimate struggle for freedom of Kashmiris until the resolution of this internationally recognized dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
