Pakistan has strongly condemned recent incidents of violence and mistreatment of bodies in Afghanistan. The Foreign Office called these actions inhumane and unacceptable. Officials demanded that Afghan authorities hold those responsible accountable. They urged immediate steps to ensure such acts do not happen again. Pakistan also shared detailed intelligence on active terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil.
During a press briefing, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said Pakistan repelled cross-border attacks between October 11 and 15. He confirmed Taliban forces and their militant allies suffered heavy losses. He stressed that Pakistan only targeted terrorist elements, not civilians. After Afghanistan’s request, a 48-hour ceasefire was agreed starting October 15. Pakistan continues to pursue peace through dialogue while defending its borders.

Shafqat Ali Khan stated that Pakistan has hosted nearly four million Afghan refugees for four decades. However, he said all foreign nationals must now follow international laws and local immigration rules. He also said Pakistan remains committed to regional peace. But he insisted that the Taliban government must prevent terrorism from its territory.
The spokesperson added that Pakistan respects Afghanistan’s sovereignty. Yet, he emphasized that peace requires shared responsibility. He dismissed claims that terrorism is Pakistan’s internal problem. Instead, he said Islamabad had already provided Kabul with names of terrorists hiding in Afghanistan. He urged the Taliban to take serious action against these groups.

Finally, Khan condemned a joint India-Afghanistan statement mentioning Kashmir. He called it a violation of UN resolutions. He also rejected recent Afghan statements downplaying cross-border terrorism. He reminded Afghan leaders that Pakistan would continue to defend its people and security at all costs.
