RAWALPINDI, October 16, 2025 — Pakistan’s security forces killed 34 militants belonging to the Indian proxy outfit “Al Khwarij” in a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from October 13 to 15, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to the ISPR statement, the operations were carried out in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, and Bannu districts, where multiple terrorist hideouts were targeted based on confirmed intelligence reports.
In the Spinwam area of North Waziristan, security forces launched an operation after receiving reports of militant presence. During an intense exchange of fire, 18 militants were killed.

Another operation in South Waziristan resulted in the elimination of eight more militants, while a third encounter in Bannu district saw security forces neutralize an additional eight militants.
The ISPR said that sanitization operations are ongoing in the affected areas to ensure that no remaining terrorists or facilitators are present. “Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored Khwarij found in the area,” the statement read, adding that the relentless counterterrorism campaign under ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’, as approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
The operations mark a continuation of Pakistan’s intensified counterterrorism efforts amid renewed focus on eliminating cross-border threats and foreign-backed militant networks operating in the country’s northwest.
