
PESHAWAR – Pakistan’s security forces have killed dozens of militants who were trying to infiltrate the country from Afghanistan, according to state media and official sources.
The operation took place in the Mohmand district after intelligence reports revealed that a large group of armed militants was preparing to cross into Pakistan through the mountainous Khor area near Bahadar Kalay.

Security forces quickly surrounded the area and launched an intense operation. According to PTV News, at least 30 militants were killed, though local sources suggested the number might be higher.

Officials said the action prevented a major cross-border attack and highlighted ongoing threats along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier. There was no official statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) until the time of reporting.

PTV News added that the attempt reflected growing tensions with Afghanistan, claiming that certain militant groups operating from Afghan territory were being used to target Pakistan in retaliation for previous failed attacks.
