ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly dry weather across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, maintaining overall stable conditions. However, colder nights and mornings are expected in northern areas due to dropping temperatures.
The PMD stated that dry conditions will continue in the federal capital and nearby regions, with chilly winds likely during late-night and early-morning hours. The department advised residents to prepare for cooler temperatures as the seasonal transition deepens across northern parts.

Meanwhile, most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to experience dry weather, while upper hilly regions will witness noticeably colder conditions, especially during nightfall. These areas may see temperatures dip further as autumn advances toward the onset of winter.
In Punjab, the weather will largely remain dry across most districts, including Murree and Galiyat, where the nights are expected to stay cold and crisp. The PMD highlighted that early mornings in these hill stations will likely see low temperatures, adding to the seasonal chill.
Sindh, on the other hand, will continue to experience hot and dry weather, particularly in southern and central regions. However, Balochistan’s northern districts are forecast to remain dry yet significantly colder during night and morning hours, maintaining a sharp contrast between day and night temperatures.
For Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the department has projected dry weather with cold conditions dominating the morning and night. Some parts of Gilgit-Baltistan may experience partly cloudy skies, adding a scenic backdrop to the region’s brisk autumn air.
