Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, visited Mayo Hospital, Lahore, and inquired about the police officers and personnel injured during the firing by violent mobs in Muridke. The IG Punjab asked after the well-being of the injured officials, prayed for their speedy recovery, and appreciated their courage and dedication in the line of duty. The IG Punjab directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured personnel. He said that the Punjab Police is proud of its brave officers who took bullets to safeguard the lives and property of the people. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the injured personnel under treatment at Mayo Hospital include ASI Saleem, Constable Mohsin, Constable Mujahid, and Constable Ali Akbar. The spokesperson further stated that during the violent attacks and firing incidents in Muridke, one police officer was martyred and 48 personnel were injured, including 17 who sustained bullet wounds.
