The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 has officially been scheduled for October 26, 2025, which falls on a Sunday. This year’s exam will be conducted nationwide at 35 venues, along with one international center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A total of 140,125 applicants have registered to appear in the test, marking another significant milestone in Pakistan’s medical and dental admission process. The large number of participants highlights the growing interest among students aspiring to join the healthcare sector.
Universities responsible for conducting the exam have been directed to maintain the highest standards in paper development, analysis, and printing. The examination papers must strictly align with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) syllabus to ensure fairness and transparency. Furthermore, the authorities have emphasized that no question should be incorrect or outside the prescribed syllabus, guaranteeing a level playing field for all candidates.

To maintain confidentiality, universities have been instructed to uphold complete secrecy of the question papers until the time of examination. The papers will only be opened in the presence of official witnesses, ensuring that no leaks or unfair practices occur. This added security measure reflects the commitment to preserving the integrity of one of Pakistan’s most competitive academic assessments. Additionally, universities must ensure that all procedures meet the PM&DC’s academic and ethical standards.
Candidates will receive their admit cards or roll number slips at least seven days before the examination date. This advance issuance aims to give students sufficient time to prepare, verify their details, and make necessary arrangements. The early release of admit cards will also help in minimizing last-minute confusion and allow smooth coordination on the day of the exam.
The exam-conducting universities are also responsible for preparing and declaring the results within seven days of the test. This timely result announcement ensures transparency and allows students to plan their next steps without unnecessary delays. Moreover, it reflects the PM&DC’s efforts to make the entire MDCAT process more efficient, organized, and student-friendly, reinforcing public trust in the system.
