Pakistan Warns of “Befitting Response” After Taliban Border Aggression

Published on: October 13, 2025 10:03 AM

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has expressed deep concern over what it called unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban and allied terrorist groups along the Pak-Afghan border on the night of October 11–12.

In a strong statement, the Foreign Office said Pakistan had exercised its right to self-defence, successfully repelling the assaults and inflicting heavy losses on the attackers in terms of men, weapons, and infrastructure used for cross-border strikes.

It rejected remarks by the Afghan interim foreign minister in India, calling them an attempt to divert attention from the presence of terrorist groups inside Afghanistan.

According to the ISPR, more than 200 Taliban and allied terrorists were killed when Pakistani forces launched precision strikes on Taliban camps, posts, and training facilities inside Afghan territory.
