
ISLAMABAD — Mobile internet services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have started to restore after a two-day suspension imposed due to heightened security threats.
According to officials, connectivity has returned in several localities of the twin cities, though services remain unstable in some areas.

Meanwhile, the Metro Bus service between Saddar Station and Pak Secretariat remains suspended for the third consecutive day, following instructions from the district administration.
The disruptions follow the Punjab government’s decision on October 10 to impose Section 144 across the province for ten days, citing intelligence reports of potential threats to public peace and safety.

A notification from the Punjab Home Department warned of possible terrorist activities involving groups such as RAW, TTP, and BLA, and expressed concerns over political and sectarian gatherings that could disturb public order.
Authorities said security measures would remain in place until the threat level subsides.
