
RIYADH / DOHA: Saudi Arabia and Qatar have voiced deep concern over the escalating tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, urging both nations to exercise restraint and prioritize diplomacy over conflict.
In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Pakistan and Afghanistan to act with “patience and wisdom,” stressing that dialogue and cooperation are vital for maintaining peace and stability in the region. The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to supporting regional peace efforts and the prosperity of both countries.

Qatar also issued a statement expressing serious concern over the ongoing border clashes, warning that the conflict could endanger regional peace. The Qatari Foreign Ministry urged both sides to “de-escalate tensions and resolve differences through diplomatic engagement.”
Qatar’s spokesperson added that maintaining calm and stability is essential for the well-being of the “brotherly peoples of Pakistan and Afghanistan.”

Both Gulf nations reiterated their support for all international initiatives aimed at promoting peace and preventing further escalation in South Asia.
