Clashes break out during Gaza march in Lahore, many injured

Published on: October 11, 2025 2:15 PM

A religious group organized a Gaza march starting from Lahore to Islamabad. During the march in Lahore, police clashed with protesters. The fight left many people injured, including police officers. The group announced the march just the day before, causing a sudden surge in protest activity. Police tried to control the crowd, but tensions quickly escalated, leading to violence.

The clashes disrupted daily life in Lahore and the nearby twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. In Rawalpindi and Islamabad, schools, businesses, and roads closed due to protests. The government also suspended internet services, further affecting public life. The disruption has lasted for two days, showing the protest’s large impact. Many residents faced difficulties carrying on with their routines.

Despite the chaos, life in Lahore started returning to normal. Traffic began flowing again after blockages were cleared. However, the Orange Line Metro has stayed closed for three days due to security reasons. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to prevent further trouble. They continue to prepare for more protests as the march moves forward.

The protest highlights ongoing anger over the Gaza conflict. The religious group demands action and support for Palestinians. Officials have called for peaceful demonstrations to avoid more violence. They warn that unrest harms both the public and the protest’s message. Security forces remain ready to keep order during future marches.
