
LAHORE – South Africa’s former Test captain Shaun Pollock is set to return to Pakistan as part of the commentary panel for the upcoming two-Test series between Pakistan and South Africa, beginning October 12. The first Test will start on October 12, followed by the second Test at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from October 20 to 24. Pollock, who previously toured Pakistan in 1997 and 2003, played five Tests in the country. He will be joined by former Pakistan captains Aamir Sohail, Ramiz Raja, Waqar Younis, and former Test cricketer Bazid Khan in the commentary box. The Test series is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025–27 cycle.

The PCB’s PitchSide Studio, hosted by Zainab Abbas, will provide expert analysis during pre- and post-match shows for the Test series. For the white-ball leg — comprising three T20Is and three ODIs — former Pakistan women’s captain Urooj Mumtaz will join Aamir Sohail and Ramiz Raja. From South Africa, JP Duminy and Vernon Philander will feature in the commentary panel. The white-ball matches will be played in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Faisalabad from October 28 to November 8. Zainab Abbas will continue as the presenter throughout the white-ball series.

The HD broadcast will feature 28 cameras, including a buggy cam, along with HawkEye and UltraEdge as part of the Decision Review System (DRS) to enhance viewing quality.
