An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of PTI leaders Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Asad Umar, and Azam Swati. The extensions cover different cases linked to the May 9 riots.
Qureshi’s bail petitions were heard while he remained in jail for security reasons. His lawyers presented arguments regarding his involvement in the Jinnah House and Askari Tower incidents. The court extended his bail until October 31.

Previously, Qureshi had filed pre-arrest bail petitions, which were dismissed after his arrest. The Lahore High Court later ordered the restoration of his bail applications, allowing the ATC to proceed.
Asad Umar appeared before the court after his interim bail expired. Similarly, Azam Swati’s lawyers requested a one-time exemption from personal appearance. The court granted both leaders bail extensions until October 31.
