Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Syed Mehdi Shah called on the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, on Monday.
They discussed the recent floods in Gilgit-Baltistan and issues of mutual interests.
The Governor Gilgit-Baltistan said that 1260 houses were destroyed due to recent floods in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Chief Minister of Sindh said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Sindh government stood by the people of Gilgit-Baltistan in the hour of difficulty. They also discussed the promotion of tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan and party issues.
Environment-friendly constructions need of hour
The Sindh Governor Muhammed Kamran Khan Tessori and Sindh Chief Minister have said environment-friendly constructions are the need of the hour.
In their separate messages on the occasion of World Architecture Day, they said that modern and safe buildings were indispensable for sustainable development.
The Governor said that environmental protection should be ensured in architecture. He said that green infrastructure will be the foundation of Sindh’s bright future.
He further said that climate change should be considered in urban planning. Expressing his determination, the Governor said we will build a Sindh that is a beautiful combination of environment, civilization and development.
