DUBAI – Mariam Mohamed, a 26-year-old Emirati fashion student and women’s empowerment advocate, has been crowned Miss Universe UAE 2025, according to The News citing Khaleej Times.

Selected from hundreds of contestants, Mariam will make history as the first Emirati woman to represent the UAE on the global Miss Universe stage when the pageant takes place next month in Thailand. “The UAE has given me the confidence to dream big,” Mariam said after her crowning. “I want to be a voice for women who are ambitious, curious, and driven. Miss Universe UAE is not just about beauty — it is about impact.”

Holding a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Sydney and currently studying fashion design at ESMOD Dubai, Mariam combines academia, creativity, and advocacy. Her mission focuses on fighting poverty, empowering women, and fostering communities of love and peace.

A passionate supporter of sustainability, she has designed eco-friendly fashion, contributed to charitable programs such as Ramadan Aman and The Giving Family Initiative, and represented the UAE in international women’s entrepreneurship projects.
