Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar told the National Assembly that the United States was now the only hope for Gaza peace. He said the UN, EU, and OIC had failed to stop the violence in Palestine. He stressed that Pakistan’s stance on Palestine was clear and unchanged, rooted in the vision of Quaid-i-Azam.

Dar repeated that Pakistan supported a two-state solution. He said the only way forward was a sovereign Palestine based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds as its capital. He also revealed that several countries had shown interest in defence agreements with Pakistan, similar to its pact with Saudi Arabia.
He called this trend an “eastern Nato” and said Pakistan must now also focus on becoming an economic power. Dar added that Pakistan’s role in defending Haramain Sharifain was an honor. He urged unity for the Islamic world, saying Pakistan would continue to stand with the Palestinians.
The minister also updated lawmakers on the Global Sumud Flotilla. He said Pakistan was working with a European country to secure the release of its citizens detained by Israeli forces. He condemned the interception as a violation of international law and reaffirmed Islamabad’s support for humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Meanwhile, opposition leaders criticized the prime minister’s earlier statement on Trump’s Gaza plan. They demanded a formal apology, saying no peace plan could work without an independent Palestinian state. Asad Qaiser stressed that Pakistan’s 250 million people would never accept Israel’s recognition. He added that the struggle for Gaza peace must continue until Palestine is free.
