A 26-year-old man was killed in a road accident on Shershah Road near Chenab Park on Thursday, following chaos triggered by a raid conducted by a Sindh police team in Multan.
According to a statement issued by a spokesperson for the City Police Officer (CPO) Multan, the incident occurred during a raid carried out by Sindh police to recover an allegedly kidnapped person. The presence of the out-of-province police team reportedly agitated local residents, who surrounded the raiding party.

Rescue 1122 personnel rushed to the scene and attempted to revive the victim using Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), but he could not be saved.
The body was shifted to Nishtar Hospital for postmortem examination, and a final report is awaited. Meanwhile, the victim’s family has submitted an application for the registration of a case. Police say they are currently investigating the matter to determine the exact cause of death.
According to the complainant, the man died as a result of the road accident, but police are probing all aspects of the incident, the CPO spokesman said.
