Pakistan successfully tests indigenous Fatah-4 cruise missile

Published on: September 30, 2025 5:31 PM

The Pakistan Army has successfully test-fired the indigenously developed Fatah-4 cruise missile, according to a statement by ISPR. The missile is ground-launched and has a range of 750 kilometers, making it capable of hitting distant targets with accuracy. This training launch marks a significant step in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities. The missile was developed entirely within Pakistan and is part of ongoing efforts to modernize military technology.

Fatah-4 is equipped with advanced avionics and navigation systems that enhance its precision and efficiency. It can fly close to the ground, making it harder for enemy radar and missile defense systems to detect. This feature allows the missile to evade interception and strike targets with extreme accuracy. These capabilities give Pakistan a stronger position in maintaining strategic deterrence and defense preparedness.

The missile is now officially a part of the Army Rocket Force Command, which manages Pakistan’s strategic missile systems. Officials say the Fatah-4 will expand the range and flexibility of the army’s arsenal. The missile’s design also includes improvements in targeting technology, giving it a tactical advantage in future scenarios. Its success demonstrates the progress of Pakistan’s domestic defense industry.

Senior military leaders, including the Chief of General Staff, as well as top scientists and engineers, witnessed the test. Their presence reflected the importance of the event in Pakistan’s defense planning. The military leadership praised the efforts of the engineers and technical staff behind the successful launch. The government also expressed satisfaction over the achievement.

President of Pakistan, Prime Minister, and top military officials congratulated the teams involved in the project. They called the Fatah-4’s test a milestone in the country’s defense journey. The test reinforces Pakistan’s commitment to self-reliance in national security and military innovation. It also sends a clear message about the nation’s growing technical strength and readiness.
